Over 2.24 lakh recipients given COVID-19 immunization up until this point; 447 instances of unfriendly impact announced: Govt.

A sum of 2,24,301 recipients have been immunized with COVID-19 antibody up until this point, out of which just 447 unfavorable occasions following inoculation (AEFI) were accounted for, the Union Health Ministry said on day two of the cross country immunization drive on Sunday.

Tending to a press preparation, the service’s Additional Secretary Manohar Agnani said out of the 447 unfavorable occasions following vaccination, just three required hospitalization.

“Today being Sunday, only six states coordinated vaccination drive and in 553 gatherings an amount of 17,072 beneficiaries were inoculated,” he said.

The six states where the inoculation drive was completed on Sunday are Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur and Tamil Nadu, he added.

Agnani said a sum of 2, 24,301 recipients have been immunized till January 17 according to temporary reports, adding that 2, 07,229 of them got the punches on the very first moment of the drive.

“An amount of 447 AEFI has been represented on January 16 and 17, out of which only three required hospitalizations. Most of the AEFI nitty gritty so far are minor like fever, cerebral agony, infection,” he said.
